Job Summary
The Security Supervisor will support the Chief Security Officer (CSO) in overseeing daily security operations at Mshel Homes’ construction sites and office premises. This role involves conducting regular inspections, identifying and addressing security risks, and ensuring adherence to all site security protocols. The Security Supervisor will document incidents, provide reports to the CSO, and ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and materials on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily rounds at assigned sites to ensure security protocols are followed and assess for potential security risks.
- Document and report daily happenings and security incidents to the CSO, providing clear and detailed information on any security breaches, hazards, or irregularities.
- Oversee on-site security personnel, ensuring they perform their duties effectively and adhere to established security guidelines.
- Identify and report vulnerabilities or security risks on-site; work with the CSO to develop solutions to mitigate these risks.
- Ensure proper control of site access, including checking the identities of personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering and exiting the site.
- Assist in responding to security incidents or emergencies on-site, following established protocols to protect people and property.
- Regularly check and report the status of security equipment such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and lighting, ensuring they are functional and reporting issues to the CSO.
- Ensure compliance with Mshel Homes’ security policies, identifying areas for improvement and recommending adjustments to the CSO.
- Maintain daily logs of activities, incidents, and observations to provide detailed, accurate records for the CSO.
- Coordinate with on-site teams and contractors to maintain a secure environment and support safety protocols.
- Efficient in Ms word, Excel, & Power point
- Investigation of security incidents i.e. theft
Qualifications
- HND/BSc; additional security training or certifications are a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in a security supervisory role, preferably in construction or real estate environments.
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, for incident reporting.
- Knowledge of security protocols, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for report documentation
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform routine patrols and respond quickly to incidents.
