As a Finance Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing our company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions, and supporting audit readiness.
You will also be deeply involved in the month-end close process, managing trade receivables, account payables, and providing real-time data on revenue.
Job Responsibilities
As a Finance Associate, you will be expected to perform the following duties
Manage the month-end close process and ensure all general ledger accounts are accurately closed with supporting schedules for all balance sheet accounts
Ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger
Support the team in audit readiness through reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Manage trade receivables and provide real-time data on revenue
Manage account payables, including monitoring vendor account balances and tracking expenses and related AP activity
Review bank reconciliations and petty cash at the end of the month
Job Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting
Must be a Chartered Accountant
Must have at least 2 years of proven experience in a Finance or Accounting role in a mid-sized company
Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
Proficiency in using Accounting software and databases.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
