The accounting clerk will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with internal controls across our restaurant locations.
Key Responsibilities
Record and process daily sales reports from multiple restaurant locations.
Reconcile cash, credit card, and mobile payment transactions against bank deposits and point-of-sale (POS) system records.
Manage and maintain accounts payable and receivable ledgers, including data entry and invoice processing.
Assist with payroll-related data entry and reconciliation (e.g., timesheet accuracy and deductions).
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end close processes.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial files and records for audits and internal reviews.
Assist with inventory reconciliation and cost analysis from restaurant supply purchases.
Communicate with store managers to resolve transactional discrepancies.
Support the accounting team with other administrative and financial tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in the food service or retail sector.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team environment.
Strong communication skills for interaction with store and finance personnel.
