Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and customer-focused Restaurant Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food, service, health and safety, ensuring a superior dining experience, and driving profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure smooth service and a positive customer experience
- Supervise and train front-of-house and back-of-house staff, ensuring adherence to service standards
- Monitor inventory, place orders for food, beverages, and supplies as needed
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and handle attendance/biometric reporting
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations
- Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Track sales, control costs, and meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets
- Liaise with kitchen staff to ensure quality control, timely service, and menu consistency
- Implement marketing strategies and promotional activities to attract and retain customers
- Prepare and present regular reports on operations, staff performance, and revenue
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5 years’ proven experience as a Restaurant supervisor or in a leadership role within the food service industry
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, inventory, and financial controls
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems (e.g., Omega software), and biometric attendance tools
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred:
- Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurants
- Basic accounting and budgeting knowledge
- Food safety and hygiene certification
