Responsibilities

• Managing the company’s supplies, materials and products.


• Overseeing supply chain processes, such as purchases, inventory, warehouse spaces and transportation services used.


• Identifying ways to improve logistical operations.


• Managing a product’s life cycle from onset to disposal.


• Directing the allocation of materials, supplies, and products.


• Developing business relationships with suppliers and clients.


• Understanding clients’ needs and how to meet them.


• Reviewing logistical functions and identifying areas for improvement.


• Managing work schedules, overseeing stock control, and processing orders.


• Planning future capacity requirements.


• Working closely with all areas of the supply chain to ensure effective service delivery for production.


• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations, including receiving raw materials and dispatching finished goods.


• Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.


• Monitor transportation schedules and liaise with transporters and warehouse personnel to ensure timely deliveries.


• Prepare and maintain logistics documentation, such as delivery notes, waybills, invoices, and stock reports.


• Work closely with production and procurement teams to align logistics with production schedules.


• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards during logistics operations.


• Track shipments and resolve issues related to transportation delays or damages.


• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.


• Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and reduce costs.


• Support audits by providing necessary logistics documentation and reports.

Requirements and skills

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 2 - 4 years work experience.


• Previous experience as a logistics or supply chain executive or in a similar field


• Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes


• Working experience of relevant software


• Strong communication skills


• Excellent organizational and project management skills
