Job Summary
- The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing creative digital content that aligns with Shalom Microfinance Bank’s brand identity.
- This role focuses on storytelling, engagement, and expanding the bank’s digital footprint across all major platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Strategy:
- Develop monthly content calendars for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X (Twitter)
- Create engaging text, image, and video content using tools like Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Suite
- Plan and execute campaigns to promote the bank's products, services, and success stories
Platform Management:
- Manage and monitor all social media pages
- Respond to comments, inquiries, and messages promptly and professionally
- Monitor engagement, reach, and audience growth
Brand Storytelling & Awareness:
- Craft content that tells Shalom MFB’s impact stories, customer wins, and community initiatives
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather content ideas and success stories
Analytics & Reporting:
- Track key metrics such as reach, impressions, engagement rate, and conversions
- Provide monthly reports with insights and recommendations for improvement
Office Collaboration:
- Attend physical content planning and shooting sessions at the office 3 times per month
- Capture real-time videos, photos, and staff interviews when necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mass Communication, Marketing, Digital Media, or related fields (not mandatory if experience is strong)
- 1–3 years of experience managing social media for a brand or organization
- Portfolio of past work or social media accounts managed
- Strong written and visual storytelling skills
- Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, InShot, or other relevant tools
- Basic understanding of social media analytics and algorithms

- Knowledge of the microfinance or financial services sector is an advantage.
