Job Purpose




  • Responsible for preparing financial statements and reports for the Bank to determine its financial performance.



Key Responsibilities




  • Prepare financial statement statements for the Bank (daily, weekly, monthly, bi-annually).

  • Produce daily management accounts for the Bank.

  • Operate and ensure accuracy and completeness of all entries.

  • Prepare daily financial dashboard for management.

  • Prepare industry comparative reports of financial position and variance explanations.

  • Prepare segment-based deposit report.

  • Prepare Bank reconciliation schedules.

  • Carry out analytical review of financial reports (including ratios for liquidity, capital adequacy, earnings and stability).

  • Undertake month-end financial reporting activities including accruals, prepayment amortization, and fixed assets depreciation.

  • Update and maintain Fixed Asset Register.

  • Participate in the implementation of audit work plans and liaise with external auditors in providing audit requirement for year end audit.

  • Review and analyze cost, expenses and budget control.

  • General ledger review and maintenance.



Requirements




  • First Degree in a numerate or business-related discipline.

  • Professional qualifications include but are not limited to the following: ACA, ACCA, CIBN, CFA etc are mandatory.

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in financial management function within the Financial Services Industry.



Knowledge:




  • Knowledge of Mortgage Bank’s operations/services/products.

  • Knowledge of accounting and auditing processes.

  • Knowledge of banking regulatory guidelines.

  • Knowledge of the banking industry.
