Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Communications:




  • Create and execute a communications strategy that highlights the impact of teacher-focused programs.

  • Manage social media accounts, newsletters, and press materials to raise public awareness.

  • Produce content (success stories, blog posts, testimonials) that spotlights teachers, students, and communities.

  • Collaborate with program teams to translate education outcomes into engaging narratives.

  • Develop branding assets and maintain consistent visual and messaging guidelines.



Fundraising:




  • Design and lead fundraising campaigns tailored to educational initiatives and donor interests.

  • Write compelling grant proposals focused on teacher capacity building, digital literacy, and curriculum development.

  • Identify and cultivate funding partnerships with education-based donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors.

  • Maintain a donor CRM and coordinate prompt acknowledgment and stewardship activities.

  • Plan donor engagement events, including site visits, webinars, or report-back sessions.



Skills & Qualifications




  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in non profit communications, fundraising, or education advocacy.

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, especially in the education and development space.

  • Familiarity with digital tools for marketing and donor engagement.

  • Grant writing experience with a focus on education-related themes.

  • A deep passion for teacher empowerment, equity in education, and systemic change.

  • Ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and think creatively in a startup-style team.



Nice to Have:




  • Experience working with educators or in teacher training initiatives.

  • Familiarity with education-sector funders (e.g., UNESCO, Global Partnership for Education, local foundations).
