- The Construction Supervisor is accountable for the planning (FEL2+) and execution of a discrete construction campaign for one or more projects.
- During the planning phase, the role provides constructability input to design, reviews and accepts the campaign construction contractor(s) installation work packs, leads pre-mobilization readiness and validates all materials/ancillary equipment needed to execute the campaign are in place through supporting functions.
- During execution, the role mobilizes to the field to oversee contractor execution, champion HSE&Q in the field, manage interfaces with Operations and ensure timely support is provided by the office to ongoing construction
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
- Execute the project plan as laid out by the Project Manager, ensure compliance with the schedule, plans and specifications.
- Work with the Project Manager to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Act as onsite project lead, communicate and coordinate all installation efforts with customer / building tenants.
- Supervise and coordinate all construction activities including material requests and acceptance
- Develop and maintain a Quality Control Plan to ensure quality of installation and cleanliness of work areas prior to customer occupation.
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly look ahead schedules to ensure adherence to the project schedule.
- Create site specific plans and procedures; ensures the implementation of the company's Safety Program to create a safe work environment throughout the jobsite; adhere to the safety and record keeping requirements; integrate Safety Program in all site specific plans and procedures to ensure a safe work environment; adhere to all safety and record keeping requirements.
- Obtain necessary information from engineers, designers, inspectors, governmental authorities and owners.
- Advise Project Manager of potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts; anticipate and resolve project issues and schedule difficulties.
- Maintain the project's Daily Report log and conduct routine inspections to verify production.
- Maintain accurate and up to date drawings and project records.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
- Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / B.Eng
- Experienced with construction industry standards and methodologies
- Experienced with oil and gas facilities
- Experience of detailed engineering/construction management
- Knowledge of cost reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting Leadership and
- Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn new software.
- Can visualize and create the project schedule's critical path.
- Ability to schedule, monitor and forecast resources for optimum efficiency.
- Understands when to seek out professional advice.
- Able to adapt solutions to changing field conditions and constraints.
