Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all construction activities for plant modification projects, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, cost, and safety requirements.
- Develop and implement construction execution plans, method statements, and work packs tailored to brownfield/plant modification environments.
- Coordinate site activities to avoid disruption of ongoing production operations.
- Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel, ensuring adherence to project standards and HSE policies.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, and technical specifications.
- Manage site logistics, work permits, and access requirements in collaboration with plant operations.
- Monitor progress and prepare reports on productivity, performance, and risks.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, client specifications, and industry codes.
- Conduct daily/weekly site inspections and toolbox talks to reinforce safety culture.
- Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and commissioning teams for smooth handover.
- Identify construction risks in brownfield operations and develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., COREN, PMP, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in oil & gas/plant modification projects.
- Strong knowledge of brownfield/retrofit construction, piping, structural steel, mechanical, and electrical works.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong HSE awareness and ability to drive compliance on site.
