Job Description
Job Summary:
- The Logistics Supervisor oversees the planning, coordination, and monitoring of all inbound and outbound logistics operations for AACE Foods.
- This includes managing product distribution, transportation, and delivery to ensure goods are moved efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- The role ensures customer orders are fulfilled accurately, on time, and in good condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily distribution schedules for finished goods to customers, distributors, and retail outlets.
- Ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods from production to warehouse and from warehouse to delivery points.
- Liaise with production, warehouse, and sales teams to align dispatch plans with customer orders.
- Supervise the operation, maintenance, and scheduling of company vehicles and third-party transport providers.
- Monitor driver performance, delivery times, and route efficiency to optimize costs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, road transport, and vehicle regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all dispatches are prepared with correct quantities, documentation, and packaging.
- Track deliveries to ensure on-time arrival and resolve delays or discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery and proof-of-delivery records.
- Work with warehouse staff to ensure correct stock picking for orders.
- Verify and sign off on delivery documentation, waybills, and return notes.
- Maintain accurate records of goods in transit and returned products.
- Enforce compliance with food safety, hygiene, and product handling guidelines during transportation.
- Implement safe loading, securing, and unloading practices to prevent product damage.
- Report and investigate any delivery incidents, accidents, or losses.
- Prepare daily and weekly logistics performance reports (e.g., on-time delivery rates, transport costs).
- Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce costs and enhance delivery performance.
Education And Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in logistics, distribution, or transportation management, preferably in FMCG or food manufacturing.
- Proven experience managing drivers, third-party logistics providers, and fleet operations.
- Familiarity with route planning, scheduling, and inventory systems.
