Position Summary:




  • You will be expected to provide safe, ethical, and high-quality nursing care to patients in line with NHIA guidelines, professional nursing standards, and policies in a clinical environment under the supervision of a Medical Doctor.



Main Responsibilities:




  • Confirm registration and the record of vital signs.

  • Provide routine nursing care, wound dressing, injections, immunizations, antenatal and postnatal nursing care.

  • Assist Medical Officers during consultations and minor procedures.

  • Identify cases requiring referral and support the approved NHIA referral process.

  • Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and environmental hygiene

  • Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely.

  • Maintain accurate nursing notes, patient records, and clinical registers.

  • Complete required NHIA and primary care documentation.

  • Work closely with doctors, community health workers, laboratory staff, and pharmacists.

  • Ensure confidentiality and ethical handling of patient information.

  • Supervise Healthcare Assistants as assigned.

  • Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in community-oriented primary care and wellness programmes as required

  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by management.

  • PA code issuance

  • Confirmation of eligibility for care assessment
