You will be expected to provide safe, ethical, and high-quality nursing care to patients in line with NHIA guidelines, professional nursing standards, and policies in a clinical environment under the supervision of a Medical Doctor.
Main Responsibilities:
Confirm registration and the record of vital signs.
Provide routine nursing care, wound dressing, injections, immunizations, antenatal and postnatal nursing care.
Assist Medical Officers during consultations and minor procedures.
Identify cases requiring referral and support the approved NHIA referral process.
Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and environmental hygiene
Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely.
Maintain accurate nursing notes, patient records, and clinical registers.
Complete required NHIA and primary care documentation.
Work closely with doctors, community health workers, laboratory staff, and pharmacists.
Ensure confidentiality and ethical handling of patient information.
Supervise Healthcare Assistants as assigned.
Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in community-oriented primary care and wellness programmes as required
Perform any other duties that may be assigned by management.
