Job Summary

• We are expanding our sports media division and seeking an experienced Sports Editor to lead editorial quality, accuracy, and authority positioning across our football content ecosystem.


• This role requires a strong editorial leader who understands sports journalism standards, digital publishing strategy, and audience-driven headline optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve all sports content before publication


• Ensure factual accuracy and editorial integrity


• Optimize headlines for engagement and search visibility


• Maintain authority positioning across platforms


• Improve overall content credibility and publishing standards


• Mentor and guide sports writers where necessary.

Qualifications

• Degree in Journalism, English, or related field


• Strong editorial background in sports media


• Proven headline optimization and digital publishing skills


• Deep understanding of football reporting standards.

Experience Required:

• 4–7 years of relevant editorial experience


• Prior experience managing or supervising writers is an advantage


• Demonstrated ability to maintain high publishing standards under deadlines.
