Key Deliverables
The Managing Director is accountable for:

Core Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Planning
- Develop and execute the organisation’s strategic plan and mission priorities.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive positioning and regulatory developments.
- Ensure alignment between organisational structures, processes and strategic objectives.
Corporate Governance
- Report to the Board of Directors on strategy, operations, performance and risks.
- Ensure full adherence to corporate governance principles and compliance standards.
- Manage compliance related issues and ensure timely escalation when necessary.
People and Culture Leadership
- Oversee recruitment, development, performance management and retention systems.
- Promote ethical conduct, integrity, transparency and teamwork across the organisation.
- Drive succession planning and leadership capacity building.
Operations and Business Performance
- Lead the development and improvement of operational processes and internal controls.
- Ensure technology enabled operations and continuous innovation in service delivery.
- Oversee the editorial and content production functions to ensure output quality.
- Drive efficiency, effectiveness and excellence across business units.
Project, Financial and Market Oversight
- Manage key projects from conceptualisation to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Oversee organisational financial planning, budgeting, treasury and reporting.
- Drive investment initiatives, portfolio diversification and financial sustainability.
- Strengthen marketing strategy, brand positioning and revenue generation.
Qualifications and Experience
- MBA or relevant postgraduate degree or professional certification.
- Minimum of five years in an executive management role.
- Demonstrable experience working at a strategic leadership level.
- Proven competence in technology, financial markets or information and intelligence sectors.
- Strong project management experience.
- Ability to perform under pressure with resilience, agility and sound judgement.
