Responsibilities




  • To ensure Slitting of material as per Slitting Planning

  • To ensure the wrapping of material as per packing requirement and weighing of slitted rolls without any failure

  • To arrange and supervise the paper core cutting according to planning

  • To inform Asst Operations Manager for the requirement of paper cores and also to maintain it to designated minimum level

  • To maintain communication with other personnel to ensure safe usage of equipment

  • To ensure immediate notification to maintenance section in case of equipment constraint/problems and follow up with maintenance for remedial action

  • Recording of data in logbooks and preparing slit roll labels

  • To arrange the regular Slitter consumables on daily basis

  • To assist Asst Operations Manager for the Preventive/ Shutdown Maintenance planning

  • To inspect the finished product and to verify conformance to specification

  • Establishes and adjust work procedure to meet production schedule

  • Recommends production methods, equipment performance and quality of product

  • Suggest changes in working condition and use of equipment to increase efficiency of machine

  • To utilize the available manpower to maximum performance

  • To analyze and restore work problems and to assist Slitting operators in solving work problems

  • To make sure all the standard SOP’s are being followed up

  • To attend the technical problems of machine

  • To provide the necessarily training to all the local operators

  • To maintain the Housekeeping in Slitting area

  • Putting up of critical slitting data and parameters

  • Other duties as assigned.



Requirements




  • Minimum requirement: 05 years experience in Slitting Department .

  • Added Advantage: More than 05 years experience in Slitting Department.

  • Ability to relate effectively with both management and junior staffs.

  • Ability to work with little or no supervision

  • Ability to comprehend instructions

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Computer literacy

  • Training & supervision of local staff.

  • Prepare and ensure slitting planning.

  • Attend to both internal and external visitor to the department.

  • Ensure reduction in down time

  • Ability to work as a part of team’

  • Analytical & arithmetic competency

  • Posses good interpersonal relationship with others

  • Smart work with self confidence on the job.
