Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive ESG / HSE Officer to drive environmental, social, governance (ESG) and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives across our operations. The role ensures compliance with safety standards, promotes a strong safety culture, and supports sustainable and responsible business practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and compliance standards
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Identify hazards and enforce corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements
- Lead incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis
- Deliver HSE trainings and awareness programs for staff
- Track and report ESG and HSE performance metrics
- Support sustainability initiatives including waste management and resource efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety Management, or related field
- Minimum of 3–6 years’ experience in HSE or ESG roles
- Relevant certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO, or equivalent) are an advantage
- Good knowledge of HSE regulations and environmental standards
- Strong attention to detail and risk management skills
- Good communication and training facilitation skills
Work Environment
- Field-based with regular site inspections
- May require response to safety incidents or emergencies
