Location: Igbariam, Anambra



Salary: 250k-350k net Monthly

Role Summary



We are seeking a proactive ESG / HSE Officer to drive environmental, social, governance (ESG) and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives across our operations. The role ensures compliance with safety standards, promotes a strong safety culture, and supports sustainable and responsible business practices.



Key Responsibilities




  • Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and compliance standards

  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments

  • Identify hazards and enforce corrective and preventive actions

  • Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements

  • Lead incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis

  • Deliver HSE trainings and awareness programs for staff

  • Track and report ESG and HSE performance metrics

  • Support sustainability initiatives including waste management and resource efficiency



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety Management, or related field

  • Minimum of 3–6 years’ experience in HSE or ESG roles

  • Relevant certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO, or equivalent) are an advantage

  • Good knowledge of HSE regulations and environmental standards

  • Strong attention to detail and risk management skills

  • Good communication and training facilitation skills



Work Environment




  • Field-based with regular site inspections

  • May require response to safety incidents or emergencies
