Job Summary

• The Carpenter will be responsible for repairs, installs, and maintains wooden structures and fixtures within residential units and common areas.


• Responsibilities include repairing doors, cabinets, and flooring, installing drywall, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure resident safety and unit functionality while adhering to building codes.

Responsibilities

• Repairing or replacing cabinets, countertops, doors, and flooring between tenant move-ins.


• Inspecting and fixing wood structures, window frames, door locks, and hardware to ensure safety.


• Patching drywall, installing trim, molding, and skirting boards.


• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks).


• Responding to resident work orders regarding damaged carpentry items, such as broken cabinets or jammed doors.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a carpenter, particularly in residential or property maintenance settings.


• Proficiency with power and hand tools (saws, drills, levels).


• Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.


• Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work in varied positions.


• Good communication skills to work with tenants and property management.
