Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, panels, motors, and wiring
- Maintain and repair MCC panels, control panels, and distribution systems
- Monitor electrical load, voltage, and power consumption
- Maintain and repair pumps, motors, valves, pipelines, conveyors, and bottling equipment
- Ensure proper alignment, lubrication, and functioning of rotating equipment
- Assist in mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
- Support maintenance of RO systems, high-pressure pumps, membranes, dosing systems, and filters
- Maintain bottling line equipment such as fillers, cappers, labellers, and conveyors
- Ensure minimal downtime of production equipment
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules
- Respond to breakdowns and carry out corrective actions
- Maintain maintenance records and logs
- Assist in troubleshooting PLC/SCADA systems, sensors, and instrumentation
- Support calibration of instruments and control devices
- Monitor spare parts and maintenance materials
- Report requirements and assist in inventory management
- Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and checklists
- Record breakdowns, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities
- Report issues to supervisor.
Requirements
Qualification:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Trade Test Certification in Electrical or Mechanical discipline is an added advantage
Experience:
- 10 - 15 years of experience in maintenance of water treatment, beverage, or bottling plants
- Experience in RO plants, bottling lines, and industrial equipment maintenance is highly preferred
- Experience in handling automated production lines will be an advantage.
Certifications:
- Any certification in the field or related field.
Selection Criteria:
- Should possess hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance of RO drinking water and bottling plants
- Should have proven experience in troubleshooting electrical systems, motors, panels, and control systems
- Should have strong working knowledge of plant equipment including pumps, valves, conveyors, and bottling machines
- Should have practical exposure to maintenance of RO systems, high-pressure pumps, and filtration units
- Should possess hands-on experience in executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Should have proven experience in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings
- Should have strong working knowledge of safety procedures, electrical standards, and lockout/tagout practices
- Should have practical exposure to PLC/SCADA systems and instrumentation troubleshooting
- Should possess hands-on experience in maintaining maintenance logs and documentation.
Functional Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, panels, and wiring
- Understanding of mechanical systems (pumps, valves, conveyors, rotating equipment)
- Knowledge of RO plant equipment and bottling machinery
- Basic knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems and instrumentation
- Troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
- Preventive and corrective maintenance planning
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Basic understanding of water treatment and bottling plant operations.
