About the job

  • Join a team advising on the deals that are shaping Africa's economic future. We are seeking a sharp, commercially minded lawyer who is ready to lead, not just support.

Why join us

  • Clear path to senior - Performance-driven progression with real mentorship from partners

  • Emerging sectors - Clean energy, ESG, fintech & data privacy shaping tomorrow's practice

What you will do

  • Advise on and execute a diverse range of corporate commercial transactions end-to-end

  • Manage client engagement and serve as a trusted point of contact

  • Lead commercial negotiations and drive deal strategy alongside partners

  • Supervise, review work of, and develop junior members of the team

  • Contribute to business development and thought leadership in your practice areas

What we are looking for

  • 3–5 years post-call corporate commercial experience

  • Reputable firm background — strong technical foundations matter

  • Core expertise in at least 2 of: Energy (Oil & Gas, Power) or Infrastructure

  • Writing & advocacy — articulate, precise, persuasive

  • Legal research — rigorous and independent

  • MS Office — high proficiency expected
