The Resident Cook / Chef will be responsible for preparing daily meals for residents, maintaining kitchen hygiene, planning menus, and ensuring proper food management within the residence.
The role requires someone who is organized, trustworthy, and able to prepare a variety of nutritious and well-presented meals.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and occasional snacks) for residents.
Plan weekly menus in consultation with the employer or household manager.
Ensure meals are balanced, nutritious, and meet dietary preferences or restrictions.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen at all times.
Properly store food items and manage kitchen inventory.
Ensure proper handling and storage of perishable items.
Requirements
Proven experience as a cook or chef in a residence, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
Ability to prepare a variety of local and continental dishes.
Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
Trustworthy, respectful, and able to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to live within the residence (resident role).
