Job Description
- This role is critical in ensuring cost efficiency, contract compliance, and overall financial success of our developments. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership capability and a proactive approach to risk and value management.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management & Financial Control:
- Lead project cost planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets
- Provide regular cost reports and advise management on financial performance
Contract & Commercial Management
- Oversee preparation, review, and administration of contracts
- Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution
- Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations
Procurement & Tendering
- Supervise BOQ preparation and tender documentation
- Lead contractor selection, bid evaluation, and negotiation processes
- Ensure value for money across all procurements
Project Commercial Oversight
- Certify valuations and approve payments to contractors
- Monitor cash flow and profitability across projects
- Identify and manage commercial risks
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage the Quantity Surveying team
- Review team deliverables to ensure accuracy and quality
- Mentor and develop junior team members
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
- Provide strategic commercial advice to support decision-making
- Represent the company in high-level negotiations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum of 8–12 years’ experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of cost control, contract administration, and procurement
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction or real estate projects
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills
- Professional certification (e.g., NIQS, RICS) is an added advantage
