Job Summary 




  • A cosmetic store is looking for a creative, organized, and trend-savvy Content Creator / Social Media Manager to help us grow our online community and bring our brand story to life across all digital platforms.

  • The Content Creator / Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing the brand’s online presence from creating high-quality visual and written content to engaging audiences and driving brand awareness, loyalty, and sales.



Responsibilities

The Social Media / Content Creator will:




  • Develop, execute and manage the social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok,) to build the brand, engage customers and drive foot‐traffic and online sales.

  • Create high‐quality visual and written content (photos, videos, reels, stories, captions) aligned with our brand voice in beauty, skincare and makeup.

  • Work closely with marketing, store teams and product teams to highlight new launches, promotions, in-store events, tutorials, customer testimonials.

  • Monitor, analyze and report on key metrics (engagement, reach, conversion) and use insights to optimize content and campaigns.

  • Stay up to date on trends in beauty, social media, Nigeria & African market, and propose creative ideas to keep our content fresh and relevant.

  • Manage community engagement: respond to comments/messages, moderate discussions, build relationships with ambassadors/influencers.

  • Coordinate with external creators/influencers when needed.

  • Design and implement a monthly social media content calendar.



Requirements / Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience (2–4 years or more) managing social media & content for a brand (ideally in retail/beauty/fashion).

  • Strong portfolio of content creation: social posts, videos, perhaps previous beauty/cosmetics work.

  • Excellent visual storytelling skills: photography, video shooting, editing

  • Good writing skills for social captions, blog‐type posts, brand tone.

  • Deep understanding of social platforms, current trends (especially Reels/TikTok/Shorts), algorithm changes, hashtags, engagement tactics.
