Responsibilities




  • Develop and implement the company’s internal audit strategy, plans, and programs across all business units and distribution channels.

  • Lead and supervise audit activities covering warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, sales, procurement, finance, and branch operations.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance systems.

  • Conduct periodic and surprise audits across depots, distributors, retail channels, and operational locations.

  • Monitor inventory accuracy, stock movement, product returns, damages, and shrinkage to minimize losses.

  • Review sales transactions, receivables, cash collections, discounts, and credit processes to identify leakages or irregularities.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, tax requirements, and industry standards.

  • Investigate fraud allegations, operational discrepancies, and control breaches, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports with actionable recommendations for executive management.

  • Follow up on audit findings and ensure timely implementation of corrective measures.

  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Oversee branch and depot audits to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Collaborate with management to strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiency.

  • Coordinate and support external auditors during statutory and financial audits.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within audit and compliance functions.

  • Develop audit policies, frameworks, and risk-based audit methodologies.

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate audit team members to ensure high performance and professional development.

  • Present audit findings and risk assessments to senior management and executive leadership.

  • Monitor compliance with inventory handling procedures, route-to-market processes, and distributor agreements.

  • Ensure proper utilization and safeguarding of company assets across all locations.



Qualifications




  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree or HND with 2-3 years experience.
