Job Description
The Cost Controller is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling project or operational costs to ensure financial efficiency and profitability. This role involves budgeting, cost analysis, forecasting, and reporting, while ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations
Role Description:
- Develop and manage budgets for projects, or operations
- Monitor actual costs against budgets and identify variances
- Pepare regular cost reports, forecasts, and financial analyses
- Analyse cost drivers and recommend cost-saving measures
- Ensure proper allocation and classification of costs
- Work closely with project managers and department heads to control expenditures
- Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and expenses
- Track commitments and ensure spending aligns with approved budgets
- Support financial audits by providing required documentation and explanations
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to costs
- Reconcile Revenue and Cost with Receivable manager and payable manager
- Advice Head of Strategy & Financial Planning prior on the impending risk on any project
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field Professional certification preferred (ICAN, PMP).
- 4-6 years' experience in Finance, Procurement, or Compliance functions
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost management principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Microsoft package)
- Knowledge of billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central advantage).
- Strong understanding of vendor compliance, cost control, and insurance/risk management
