Job Summary
- The Production Planning Engineer supports the maintenance organization in the production and management of maintenance and modification projects.
- The role is accountable for producing accurate maintenance work packages and managing complex maintenance and modification projects in accordance with UNA AMO processes and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage complex aircraft maintenance and modification projects to protect the critical path.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding maintenance input planning to ensure requested work scopes are clearly understood and translated into actionable work packages.
- Produce work packages in line with customer requirements, ensuring access, spares, tooling, manpower, and third-party service requirements are identified and available prior to scheduled aircraft downtime.
- Liaise with approved third-party vendors to coordinate services and ensure timelines align with project requirements and critical path schedules.
- Coordinate with Part-21 Design Organisations to engineer and support customer aircraft modification requests while ensuring compliance with EASA/Foreign NAA documentation requirements.
- Prepare and chair internal pre-input review meetings with Commercial, Engineering, and Logistics departments in line with company milestones.
- Conduct pre-input review meetings with customers to discuss incoming defects and customer-specific requirements.
- Coordinate aircraft acceptance into maintenance.
- Identify and proactively resolve critical path issues that may impact maintenance schedules.
- Provide customers with daily updates on project progress during aircraft maintenance activities.
- Review and complete aircraft library documentation (e.g., Technical Log, Deferral Log) during maintenance input and release to service.
- Support the Document Control team with the review of completed paperwork and resolution of documentation issues.
- Generate documentation and support certifying staff through the aircraft return-to-service process.
- Continuously seek improvements to maximize productivity and minimize operational costs.
- Support the SBDM in managing customer expectations effectively.
- Perform any other duties within assigned capabilities as directed by the company.
