Job Summary




  • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiographer to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating diagnostic imaging equipment and performing a wide range of radiographic procedures to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.

  • The role requires adherence to radiation safety standards, excellent patient management skills, and the ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images across various imaging modalities.



Key Responsibilities




  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, and MRI in line with established clinical standards and protocols.

  • Ensure accurate patient positioning and apply appropriate exposure techniques while adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety principles.

  • Apply protective shielding and immobilization devices where necessary to ensure patient safety and image quality.

  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by Radiologists and other medical professionals.

  • Calculate and determine appropriate exposure factors for diagnostic procedures.

  • Operate and maintain radiographic and imaging equipment effectively to ensure optimal functionality.

  • Utilize Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) efficiently while maintaining accurate patient records and data integrity.

  • Schedule patients appropriately for radiological procedures and ensure smooth workflow within the department.

  • Maintain adequate inventory of imaging supplies and ensure proper documentation of procedures performed.

  • Uphold excellent patient care standards and maintain confidentiality at all times.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Radiography or Imaging Science.

  • 2–3 years post-NYSC relevant work experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

  • Valid registration and practicing license with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications and radiology management systems.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

  • High level of accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
