Job Description
The Business Development Manager (Partnerships & Expansion) will be responsible for driving new partnership acquisition and expanding Paga Remit’s footprint across key remittance corridors, including Nigeria, the UK, Asia, and the EU. This role is focused on originating and closing new business opportunities, onboarding strategic IMTOs, FinTech's, aggregators, and financial institutions, and driving inbound FX flows and revenue growth.
The ideal candidate is a hunter with strong commercial acumen, capable of identifying high-value opportunities, leading end-to-end sales cycles, and positioning Paga Remit as a preferred partner for cross-border remittance into Nigeria.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, target, and acquire new remittance and FX partners across key global corridors
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline of IMTOs, fintechs, aggregators, and financial institutions
- Lead end-to-end deal execution from prospecting to contract signing and onboarding
- Drive revenue growth and inbound FX inflows through new partnerships
- Develop and execute market entry and corridor expansion strategies
- Conduct commercial negotiations, including pricing, FX margins, and settlement terms
- Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and Operations teams to onboard partners successfully
- Represent Paga Remit in industry events, conferences, and partner meetings
- Track sales performance, pipeline progress, and conversion metrics

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years’ experience in Business Development, Sales, or Partnerships
- Experience in remittance, fintech, payments, or banking preferred
- Proven track record of closing deals and driving revenue growth
- Exposure to cross-border payments or international markets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate across multiple geographies and cultures
