Role Summary




  • We are hiring a disciplined and commercially aware Accountant to manage the company’s financial operations, statutory compliance, reporting structure, and project accounting activities across real estate development and property operations.

  • The ideal candidate must possess strong practical experience in corporate accounting, tax filing, payroll administration, financial reporting, vendor payment coordination, and regulatory compliance within Nigeria. Candidate must currently reside in Abuja.



Key Responsibilities




  • Manage daily accounting operations, financial records, reconciliations, and reporting schedules

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow reports, expense analysis, and budget performance reports

  • Coordinate PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax, Pension, NSITF, NHF, and other statutory remittances

  • Handle corporate tax filings and ensure compliance with FIRS and relevant regulatory agencies

  • Monitor project expenditures, contractor payments, procurement records, and operational expenses

  • Maintain accurate documentation for invoices, payment vouchers, payroll schedules, and bank transactions

  • Prepare payroll and salary schedules with accurate deductions and remittances

  • Coordinate audit documentation and support external auditors during financial reviews

  • Track receivables, lease payments, service charges, and outstanding financial obligations

  • Support management with financial insights for operational and investment decisions



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

  • Must currently reside in Abuja

  • 3–5 years accounting experience within:

    • Real Estate

    • Construction

    • Property Development

    • Hospitality

    • Engineering Operations



  • Strong working knowledge of:

    • Corporate tax filing (Mandatory)

    • Nigerian financial compliance

    • Payroll administration

    • Financial reporting

    • Bank reconciliation

    • Internal financial controls



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and reporting discipline



Nice to Have:




  • ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN certification

  • Experience managing multi-project accounting structures

  • Ability to work in a fast-moving operational environment with minimal supervision

  • Will to resume immediately.
