Description

• A Phone Service Engineer (sometimes called a mobile phone repair technician or telecom service engineer, depending on the company) typically installs, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains phones or phone-related systems.


• The exact role can vary depending on whether it’s focused on consumer mobile devices or telecommunications infrastructure.

Core responsibilities

• Diagnose hardware and software issues in mobile phones or communication devices


• Repair faulty components (screens, batteries, charging ports, speakers, motherboards, etc.)


• Install and configure phone systems, devices, or communication equipment


• Perform routine maintenance and testing


• Troubleshoot network/connectivity issues


• Update firmware and software


• Keep service records and repair logs


• Order or manage spare parts inventory


• Provide customer support and explain repairs to clients


• Ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards

Skills required:
