Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on, and results-driven Lead Installation Engineer to oversee solar inverter installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and installation team performance. This role combines strong technical expertise with leadership and field coordination responsibilities to ensure every solar installation project meets the highest operational, safety, and quality standards. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in a solar company and possess strong managerial and coordination abilities to supervise both in-house and contract technical engineers.
Key Responsibilities Installation & Commissioning
- Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot: o Off-grid and hybrid inverter systems of Residential and small commercial solar-storage systems
- Configure inverter parameters and lithium battery/BMS communication · Conduct system testing, load verification, and performance checks
- Diagnose and resolve inverter faults, wiring issues, communication errors, and system instability
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Supervise installation engineers, technicians, and electricians Coordinate in-house and contract technical teams
- Ensure compliance with installation SOPs and electrical safety standards
- Monitor installation quality, grounding, protection systems, and wiring standards
Technical Support
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams
- Handle after-sales technical issues and field troubleshooting · Guide customers on system operation and maintenance best practices
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare commissioning, maintenance, and fault reports
- Maintain proper technical and project documentation
- Provide feedback to improve installation processes and system reliability
Requirements
- HND or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or related field · 4 - 5 years relevant experience in a solar company.
- Strong experience with off-grid and hybrid inverter systems
- Hands-on experience with lithium battery systems (48V / 51.2V preferred)
- Proven experience managing residential and commercial solar installations
- Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills
- Ability to independently manage installation and commissioning workflows
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
