- Senior procurement specialist provides process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM); provide requirements and obligations of utilizing defence material/property under Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defence Federal Acquisition Supplement (FAR/DFARS), contractual and business requirements.

Responsibilities
- Establish strong partnerships and educate stakeholders on procurement best practices in order to deliver category objectives
- Create and deliver thoughtful PowerPoint presentations to senior management to support recommended actions and strategic direction
- Partner with associated internal groups to identify and develop alternate/additional supply sources, assess financial stability, quality, and capabilities of potential vendors
- Negotiate Agreement Terms and Conditions and work with clients to ensure appropriate contract approvals are obtained and documented
- Investigate incorrect or late orders and initiates corrective action or recommendations for action
- Determine supplier’s capacity and ability to meet quality standards, specifications and delivery schedules
- May be responsible for soliciting budgetary pricing for equipment, material, or labor to support estimating/proposal efforts for a major project or projects
