Job Details



The Head of Operations will be responsible for overseeing, optimising and coordinating overall daily mining site operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and safety. This involves developing and implementing operational policies, managing teams, and driving process improvements. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of business operations and industry best practices.

Team Leadership and Management:Leading, mentoring, and motivating teams across various departments, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.



Identifying opportunities to optimize resource allocation and reduce costs.   Performance Management: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing 

operational data, and implementing strategies to improve performance and achieve targets. 

Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way. 

Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices. 

Supply Chain Management: overseeing inventory management, and logistics to ensure 

smooth operations and efficient delivery of goods and services.  

Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, internal 

policies, and safety standards.  

Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicating with various stakeholders, including 

senior management, team members, and external partners, to ensure alignment and 

collaboration.  

Continuous Improvement: Staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and 

best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement in operations 

Identifying potential problems and points of friction and finding solutions to maximize 

efficiency and revenue 

Reporting: Daily Inventory/stock taking and Operational activities reporting 

Identifying opportunities to expand or shift course based on market changes 

HSE/Regulatory: Enforcing regulatory and safety standards 

Daily reporting of site actives  

Daily reporting of inventory 



Qualifications




  • At least minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Head of Operations in a Mining, Manufacturing or Oil & Gas Industry.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
