Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join our technical team.


• The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure smooth and efficient operations.


• The successful candidate must possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery.


• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.


• Install, inspect, test, and maintain mechanical systems and components.


• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.


• Conduct routine inspections and ensure machinery operates according to safety and quality standards.


• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and engineering specifications.


• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.


• Collaborate with engineers and other technical personnel to resolve mechanical issues.


• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and maintenance procedures.


• Support production and operations teams to achieve productivity targets.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND, HND, or Trade Test Certification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.


• Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar technical role.


• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.


• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.


• Good understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures.


• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.


• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.


• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of industrial machinery and production equipment.


• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems.


• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Salary

N150,000 - N200,000 per month.
