Job Description
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, going to Banks and providing excellent customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or POS systems.
- Accept payments by cash, credit card, or other forms of payment.
- Calculate and return change to customers accurately.
- Going to Banks to deposit cheques and be involved in reconciliations.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Answer customer questions and provide information about products or services.
- Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling and refunds.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure excellent customer service.
- Adhere to safety and security guidelines.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- B.Sc/HND Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Business Administration and other related discipline
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred.
- Strong numerical and math/accounting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with cash registers or POS systems.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
