Job Summary
- We are looking for a high-performing Senior Sales person to head the Pulse Sports Sales Sub Team.
- You will report directly to the Director of Sales and take ownership of the commercial success of pulsesports.ng.
- You will be responsible for identifying high-value opportunities and pitching our sports media products and solutions to brands looking to capture the attention of sports enthusiasts.
- You will lead by example, closing deals while guiding a sub-team to achieve collective targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead the Pulse Sports Sub Team: Develop and refine internal sales strategies and processes to strengthen market presence and increase market share, specifically within the sports industry.
- Strategic Planning: Identify high-value business opportunities and develop effective strategies to pitch pulsesports.ng products and solutions.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on emerging sports trends, athlete/fitness consumer behaviour, and competitor activities to support innovation and improve product positioning.
Revenue Generation & Client Management:
- Deal Closure: Drive revenue growth by proactively approaching prospective clients, presenting product value, and following a structured sales process from lead generation to deal closure.
- Target Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed financial sales targets, contributing directly to the company's overall sales performance.
- Account Growth: Engage continuously with customers and key decision-makers to identify upsell, cross-sell, and repeat purchase opportunities across the sports product range.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional customer service and product guidance.
Collaboration & Operations:
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Ensure smooth communication between sales, account management, logistics, and product teams for a seamless customer experience.
- Team Development: Contribute to team knowledge-sharing sessions and training initiatives within the Nigeria team and across the broader Africa region.
- Fulfilment: Collaborate closely with fulfilment and product teams to ensure timely delivery and achievement of all customer expectations.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of proven success in senior sales leadership or business development roles, ideally within Digital Media, Creative, Marketing, Sports sectors, or Advertising industries.
- Digital Expertise: Strong expertise in digital marketing and the ability to integrate marketing strategies into sales growth.
- Tools & Tech: Proficiency in digital marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and familiarity with CRM systems (Zoho CRM desirable).
- Financial Acumen: Ability to analyse sales performance data and ROI to optimise business outcomes, as well as experience in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Soft Skills: Excellent networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, combined with exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
