Role Summary




  • We are seeking a Head of Operations to provide strategic leadership and operational excellence across the organization.

  • This role is critical in ensuring efficient systems, sound financial management, and seamless program delivery.

  • The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with a passion for social impact, strong financial acumen, and the ability to optimize performance in a dynamic, resource-constrained environment.



Key Responsibilities

Operational Strategy & Financial Stewardship:




  • Drive operational excellence by developing and refining policies, processes, and internal controls

  • Oversee budgeting, expense tracking, and cost optimization initiatives

  • Partner closely with Finance to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and audit readiness

  • Monitor cash flow and resource allocation to support long-term sustainability

  • Establish accountability frameworks for financial and operational performance



Data Analytics & Performance Management:




  • Develop and monitor KPIs to measure organizational and program effectiveness

  • Translate operational and financial data into actionable insights for leadership

  • Produce detailed performance and impact reports for stakeholders and donors

  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement scalable, technology-driven solutions



Program & Project Coordination




  • Support the full lifecycle of programs—from planning to evaluation

  • Track timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure successful execution

  • Collaborate across teams to align operational resources with program needs



Procurement, Logistics & Vendor Management:




  • Oversee procurement activities in line with organizational and donor guidelines

  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts/SLA agreements

  • Supervise logistics, inventory, and facility operations



Leadership & Organizational Culture:




  • Lead and develop administrative and support teams

  • Drive performance management and professional development initiatives

  • Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement



HR Oversight & People Operations:




  • Provide oversight for recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations

  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and labor regulations

  • Support workforce planning aligned with organizational goals

  • Champion employee engagement, culture, and retention initiatives



Qualifications & Skills




  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or related field (Master’s or professional certification is an advantage)

  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years’ experience, including 5+ years in senior operations or administrative leadership, preferably within the NGO/non-profit sector

  • Technical Skills: Strong expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, and internal control systems

  • Digital Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, project management tools, and data visualization platforms
