Job Summary




  • We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Pharmacy Technician to support the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient pharmaceutical services within our healthcare facility.

  • The successful candidate will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate medication dispensing, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and optimal patient care outcomes.

  • This role requires a professional who is committed to medication safety, operational excellence, and maintaining the highest standards of pharmacy practice.



Key Responsibilities




  • Assist pharmacists in accurately preparing, dispensing, labeling, and packaging medications.

  • Receive, process, and verify prescriptions in accordance with established pharmacy procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, medication inventory, and pharmacy transactions.

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure the availability of medications and pharmaceutical supplies.

  • Conduct routine inventory counts and assist in stock reconciliation activities.

  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of medications according to regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor medication expiry dates and coordinate timely stock rotation and disposal of expired products.

  • Support procurement activities, including receiving, inspecting, and documenting pharmaceutical supplies.

  • Assist in medication reconciliation processes to support patient safety initiatives.

  • Provide medication-related information to patients under the supervision of a pharmacist.

  • Support quality assurance activities within the pharmacy unit.

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the pharmacy environment.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, pharmacy policies, and accreditation standards.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.



Requirements




  • Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies from a recognized institution.

  • Valid practicing license.

  • 1–3years of relevant experience in a hospital, clinic, or retail pharmacy setting.

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical inventory management and dispensing procedures.

  • Familiarity with pharmacy software and electronic medical record systems is an advantage.

  • Strong organizational, documentation, and record-keeping skills.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
