Purpose of Job




  • To drive distribution and visibility in the open market and Modern Trade outlets.

  • The role focuses on driving sales growth, achieve volume and value targets, report and monitor competitors' activities, and manage 3rd party distributions in both open market and modern trade channels, to ensure company sales objectives are met.



Principal accountabilities




  • Oversee business affairs for the open market and modern trade channels for prime SBU, for the effective management and coordination of all business activities within the open market and modern trade channels.

  • Ensure that company’s products are effectively merchandised and promoted in the open market and MOT space to contribute to growth and profitability of the unit.

  • Drive the listing and introduction process of new brands to the trade to ensure that new brands are successfully integrated into the market, expanding the company's product portfolio and driving growth by capturing new customer segments and increasing sales opportunities.

  • Coordinate price surveys with the team to gather accurate and up-to-date pricing information to ensure competitive pricing strategies, enabling the company to make informed decisions to maintain market competitiveness and optimize profitability.

  • Report competitor activities in trade to provide timely and relevant information on competitor activities, and market trends, allowing the company to anticipate market changes, adjust strategies proactively, and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Identify, plan and execute on new business opportunities to directly impact on the expansion of the company’s footprints in the open market and MOT channels.

Job Requirements

Education:




  • Minimum requirement: Minimum B.Sc./HND in sales or marketing-related field

  • Added advantage: MBA



Experience: 




  • Minimum requirement: Minimum 8 years cognate experience

  • Added Advantage: Strong brand, commercial and trade marketing experience
