Job Summary
- The Hotel Maintenance Personnel is responsible for ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained in good working condition.
- The role involves performing preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and responding promptly to maintenance requests to ensure a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities, guest rooms, public areas, and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Repair faulty equipment, fixtures, furniture, doors, windows, locks, and appliances.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance-related issues efficiently.
- Ensure hotel grounds, facilities, and equipment are clean, safe, and operational.
- Monitor and maintain water supply systems, generators, and other utility equipment.
- Replace light bulbs, repair electrical outlets, switches, and minor wiring issues.
- Assist with painting, carpentry, tiling, and other general maintenance tasks.
- Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports of completed work.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Report major repair requirements and equipment failures to management.
- Assist external contractors during specialized maintenance and repair projects.
- Ensure tools and maintenance equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of SSCE / OND, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in hotel, facility, or building maintenance is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.
