Job Description




  • The role is responsible for managing an efficient and safe site that produces finished products meeting customer requirements at the lowest cost while maximizing financial benefits



Key Deliverables




  • Quality and consistency of finished products

  • Mill performance

  • Continuous operational improvement

  • Effective management of raw material intermediate and finished product stock levels

  • Cost control across labor energy and maintenance

  • Site hygiene

  • Site condition

  • Health and safety

  • Direct management and motivation of the production team



Responsibilities - Production Unit




  • Define and agree job responsibilities with subordinates set targets and monitor performance formally and informally

  • Maintain staff welfare and morale

  • Enforce discipline and carry out dismissals as required within company procedures and employment legislation

  • Select and appoint new staff

  • Ensure all areas operate efficiently within approved financial budgets and drive continual improvement

  • Control stock levels of raw materials and finished products through supervisors to respond to product specifications and volume requirements

  • Monitor production output yield and extraction capacity and act on variances

  • Ensure efficient maintenance of all plant and buildings through preventive maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns



General Responsibilities:




  • Manage external contractors for cleaning waste disposal gardening and other services in a cost effective manner while ensuring quality

  • Maintain perimeter and yard areas in good condition

  • Through managers maintain and administer personnel records excluding sickness absenteeism and holiday records

  • Ensure safe keeping of company agreements financial documents and related records

  • Promote strong communication across the plant through team briefings and discussions

  • Identify training needs through managers and support staff development within budget

  • Demonstrate flexibility in performing additional management tasks required for business growth



Requirements




  • BTech or BE from a reputed institute

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in handling milling lines.
