Role Description
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories or market segments.
- Generate qualified leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market research.
- Conduct client visits and sales presentations to prospective customers.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
Sales Execution
- Promote the company's products and services to prospective and existing customers.
- Prepare quotations and proposals in line with company pricing guidelines.
- Negotiate within approved parameters and close sales opportunities.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs.
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and requests.
- Provide after-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Address customer concerns and escalate issues where necessary.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
- Identify new customer needs and emerging market opportunities.
- Provide regular market feedback to management.
Sales Administration
- Maintain accurate customer records within the CRM system.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Ensure all customer documentation is complete and properly filed.
- Track quotations, orders, and customer follow-ups.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations to ensure timely service delivery.
- Coordinate with Finance regarding customer payments where necessary.
- Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns and promotional activities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, customer service, or account management.
- Experience in logistics, courier, freight forwarding, e-commerce, or supply chain is an added advantage.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages in Nigeria is an added advantage.
