Job Summary




  • We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Chemistry Teacher to teach students across the IGCSE, WAEC, NECO, British, and Nigerian curricula.

  • The ideal candidate will deliver engaging lessons, develop strong scientific understanding in students, and prepare them for both internal and external examinations.



Key Responsibilities




  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons aligned with IGCSE, WAEC, NECO, British, and Nigerian curricula.

  • Teach theoretical, practical, and experimental Chemistry effectively.

  • Prepare lesson notes, schemes of work, and instructional materials.

  • Conduct laboratory experiments while ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures.

  • Prepare students for external examinations including IGCSE, WAEC, and NECO.

  • Set, mark, and evaluate assignments, tests, and examinations.

  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.

  • Use modern teaching methods and ICT tools to enhance learning.

  • Manage classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.

  • Support students with additional academic needs and provide remedial teaching where necessary.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and academic planning.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field (Education preferred).

  • Teaching qualification such as PGDE, TRCN certification, or equivalent (advantageous).

  • Experience teaching IGCSE and WAEC/NECO Chemistry is highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of British and Nigerian curriculum standards.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • Ability to prepare students for external examinations successfully.
