Job Summary




  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant / Storekeeper to manage the company's financial records and inventory operations.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling finances, maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock movement, and ensuring proper financial reporting.

  • Applicants must be resident in Abuja, Nigeria.



Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management:




  • Record daily sales, expenses, income, and cash flow transactions accurately.

  • Maintain proper financial records and accounting documentation.

  • Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and account reconciliations.

  • Monitor petty cash and maintain accurate records of all transactions.

  • Support budget monitoring and expense tracking activities.

  • Verify invoices and supporting documents before processing payments.



Inventory & Store Management:




  • Manage stock receipts, storage, issuance, and documentation.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock databases.

  • Track stock movement (stock-in and stock-out) and ensure proper accountability.

  • Conduct routine stock checks and physical inventory counts.

  • Perform stock reconciliation and investigate discrepancies.

  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment requests when necessary.

  • Ensure proper storage and safeguarding of inventory items.



Procurement & Vendor Coordination:




  • Assist with purchase orders and verify delivered items against approved requests.

  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding deliveries, invoices, and stock-related issues.

  • Ensure all received goods are properly documented and recorded.



Reporting & Documentation:




  • Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports.

  • Generate stock movement reports and inventory status reports.

  • Prepare financial reports and provide accurate records to management when required.

  • Maintain organized filing systems for financial and inventory documentation.



Compliance & Internal Control:




  • Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and inventory control policies.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing required records and documentation.

  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, integrity, and accountability in all transactions.



Collaboration:




  • Work closely with management, procurement, and operations teams to ensure efficient financial and inventory management.

  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders when necessary.



Requirements




  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years' experience in Accounting, Storekeeping, Inventory Management, or a related role.

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and inventory management practices.

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and accounting software is an added advantage.

  • Must be resident in Abuja, Nigeria.
