Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Facility Supervisor to lead our technical maintenance team and oversee the upkeep of all physical structures, mechanical systems, and utility infrastructures.
- The successful candidate will drive rigorous preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime, extend asset lifespans, and ensure a safe, highly efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- System Supervision: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including HVAC, backup power equipment, and water systems.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex technical failures, supervise repairs, and report on overall system performance.
- Data & Reporting: Document, analyze, and report on all maintenance activities, equipment operations, and performance metrics.
- Construction & Compliance Monitoring: Monitor building construction progress, conduct routine inspections, and communicate directly with non-compliant parties or contractors regarding building violations.
- Preventive Maintenance: Implement and manage Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules and detailed inspection checklists for all critical machinery and assets.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule shifts for in-house technicians, electricians, plumbers, handymen, and other direct reports.
- Safety Enforcement: Partner with Safety personnel to implement health and safety guidelines, conduct safety briefings, and ensure the team adheres strictly to HSE policies.
- Vendor & SLA Management: Supervise external maintenance works to guarantee strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), technical specifications, and safety standards.
- Budgetary Control: Manage the maintenance department budget, meticulously tracking expenses for spare parts, tools, and contractor services.
- Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management for tools, spare parts, and facility consumables.
- Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date technical logs, equipment blueprints, warranty cards, and comprehensive maintenance history records.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all facility systems comply with national occupational health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in a supervisory or managerial facility role.
- Certifications: Professional engineering licenses or facility certifications (e.g., FMP, CFM, COREN) are considered a distinct advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Technical Diagnostics: Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for industrial and commercial equipment.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or relevant facility management software.
- Leadership & Management: Strong leadership, project management, and budget oversight abilities.
- Data Literacy: Proficiency in data collation, technical reporting, and basic analysis.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of local building codes, occupational health and safety laws, and OSHA regulations.
