Summary




  • A restaurant maintenance Officer ensures the proper functioning, safetyand upkeep of all restaurant facilities and equipment.



Key Responsibilities




  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, plumbing, and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations

  • Conduct daily inspections of the restaurant facility, including dining areas, kitchens, restrooms, and storage spaces, to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or customers, troubleshooting and repairing equipment such as ice machines, soda dispensers, ovens, and lighting

  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and safety issues, and communicate updates to management

  • Collaborate with restaurant leadership and vendors to order replacement parts or schedule specialized repairs

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in all maintenance activities.



Required Skills




  • Interested candidates should possess an SSCE / OND / HND / Bachelors Degree

  • Proven experience in general maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, preferably in a restaurant, commercial kitchen, or hospitality environment

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for equipment and facility issues

  • Good physical strength and stamina to handle manual tasks, lift equipment, and work in various areas of the restaurant

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with staff, management, and vendors.



Work Environment:




  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors, including kitchens, dining areas,storage rooms, and exterior grounds

  • The role may involve irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on restaurant operationsneed

  • 2–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in restaurants, commercial kitchens, or hospitality settings

  • This role is essential for maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for both staff and customers, ensuring that restaurant operations run smoothly and equipment remains in optimal condition.
