Job Duties
- A results‑driven Cloud Solutions Architect specializing in presales engineering, customer engagement, cloud solution design, and technical evangelism across Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud ecosystems for enterprise workloads.
- Skilled at delivering business‑aligned architectures, running discovery workshops, creating solution proposals, and supporting sales teams throughout the deal lifecycle.
- This role requires hands‑on experience in cloud architecture, DevOps tooling, IaC, observability, cost governance, and especially on‑prem → cloud migration projects.
Responsibilities
Core Presales Competencies:
- Requirements gathering, technical discovery, and cloud readiness assessments
- Cloud architecture design (Azure/AWS)
- RFP/RFQ responses, solution BOM creation, and customer presentations
- Cloud value articulation (ROI, TCO, business case development)
- Creating HLD/LLD, diagrams, and migration strategies
- Running POCs, demos, and architecture review sessions
Key Experience:
- Designed and presented multi‑cloud architectures for enterprise workloads
- Led presales activities for cloud migrations, DevOps, modernization, and security
- Supported sales teams with technical deep‑dives, sizing, and cost optimization proposals
- Delivered customer workshops on landing zones, IaC, CI/CD, and cloud governance
- Implement cloud-native services:
- Azure: VMs, App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, Storage, Monitor.
- AWS: EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS/Aurora, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda.
- Automate configuration, policy enforcement, backup routines, patching, and scaling.
- Ensure observability through metrics, logs, tracing, and incident automation.
- Assess existing on-prem infrastructure (compute, storage, network, DB).
- Develop migration plans (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor).
- Execute migrations using tools such as Azure Migrate, AWS Migration Hub, DMS, VM replication tools, etc.
- Perform optimization and stabilization post‑migration.
- Implement cloud security best practices, encryption, firewalls, policies, identity controls.
- Conduct monthly cost optimization reviews.
- Provide cloud expertise during internal and external technical sessions/demos.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Experience (Required):
- 3–6+ years hands‑on in Azure and/or AWS (must be deep in at least one; both preferred).
- Production experience with IaC (Terraform/Bicep) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong background in on‑prem → cloud migrations.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, identity, and automation.
- Experience with Linux/Windows server administration.
Experience (Preferred):
- Experience with containers (EKS/AKS) and serverless (Lambda/Azure Functions).
- Experience with hybrid cloud (ExpressRoute, VPN, Direct Connect).
- Understanding of SRE principles.
Certifications (Preferred):
- AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional).
- Azure Solutions Architect.
- Terraform Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert a plus.
