Job Summary




  • The Pump Attendant is responsible for dispensing fuel to customers, ensuring excellent customer service, handling cash and electronic payments, maintaining cleanliness around the fuel pumps, and complying with all safety regulations to ensure smooth daily operations at the filling station.



Key Responsibilities




  • Dispense petrol, diesel, and other petroleum products to customers accurately and safely.

  • Greet customers courteously and provide prompt, efficient service.

  • Collect cash, POS, or other electronic payments and issue receipts where necessary.

  • Verify the amount of fuel dispensed and ensure correct pricing.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the fuel pumps, forecourt, and surrounding areas.

  • Monitor fuel pumps for leaks, malfunctions, or safety hazards and report issues immediately.

  • Assist customers with basic inquiries regarding products and services.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Participate in stock-taking and inventory checks when required.

  • Support other station operations as assigned by the supervisor.



Qualifications and Requirements




  • Minimum of SSCE/WASSCE or equivalent qualification.

  • Previous experience as a pump attendant or in customer service is an added advantage.

  • Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
