Job Description




  • We are seeking a highly driven, strategic, and results-oriented Business Development Executive to join our team and support the growth of our Power Solutions and Energy Services portfolio.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting business opportunities across the power, renewable energy, engineering, and oil & gas sectors.

  • The role requires a strong understanding of energy solutions, excellent client engagement skills, and the ability to develop commercially viable solutions for industrial, commercial, and institutional customers.

  • The ideal candidate will drive market expansion by building strong client relationships, generating new opportunities, supporting proposal development, and contributing to the achievement of business growth objectives.



Key Responsibilities




  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the power and energy sector, including:

    • Solar energy solutions

    • Hybrid power systems

    • Captive power generation

    • Mini-grid solutions

    • Distributed energy systems

    • Energy infrastructure projects



  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial, industrial, government, and institutional clients.

  • Generate, qualify, and manage business leads through market research, networking, referrals, and strategic engagement.

  • Conduct client meetings, understand customer requirements, and develop tailored energy solutions in collaboration with engineering teams.

  • Support preparation of technical and commercial proposals, bids, tenders, presentations, and business development documents.

  • Work closely with project, engineering, and operations teams to ensure solutions align with client expectations and business objectives.

  • Conduct industry analysis, competitor assessments, and market intelligence to identify emerging opportunities.

  • Support contract negotiations, partnership discussions, and commercial engagements.

  • Maintain an accurate business development pipeline and provide regular reports on opportunities, progress, and forecasts.

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, exhibitions, and professional networking platforms.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline.

  • 3–5 years’ experience in business development, technical sales, account management, or commercial roles within:

    • Power sector

    • Renewable energy industry

    • Engineering services

    • Oil & Gas sector



  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, including solar PV systems, hybrid solutions, mini-grids, energy storage, and power infrastructure.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships, generate leads, and achieve business growth targets.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience in proposal preparation, tender processes, commercial documentation, and client acquisition.

  • Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into commercially attractive solutions.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while achieving measurable results.



Preferred Experience:

Candidates with experience in the following areas will have an advantage:




  • Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar projects

  • Hybrid renewable energy systems

  • Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) models

  • Embedded power solutions

  • Mini-grid development

  • Power generation and infrastructure projects

  • Oil & Gas sector business development.
