Job Summary

Key Responsibilities




  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all construction projects from inception to completion.

  • Develop and monitor project execution schedules to ensure timely delivery.

  • Supervise Construction Managers, Site Engineers, Builders, Architects, Quantity Surveyors, MEP Engineers, and Contractors.

  • Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets while maintaining quality standards.

  • Monitor procurement activities, material utilization, and minimize wastage.

  • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation and recovery plans.

  • Review and approve contractors' work progress, valuations, and payment recommendations.

  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, statutory regulations, and company standards.

  • Enforce Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies across all project sites.

  • Coordinate consultants, clients, regulatory authorities, and inspection teams.

  • Prepare accurate weekly and monthly project performance reports for Executive Management.

  • Drive productivity, accountability, and continuous improvement across project teams.

  • Project delivery within approved timelines: ≥95%

  • Budget compliance: ≥95%

  • Weekly reporting compliance: 100%

  • Project quality compliance: 100%

  • Site safety compliance: 100%

  • Material wastage maintained below 5%

  • Contractor productivity: ≥90%

  • Snag resolution completed within 3 working days

  • Client and regulatory inspection readiness: 100%

  • Staff productivity management: ≥90%



Requirements




  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, or a related discipline.

  • Master's Degree is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

  • Professional registration with COREN is required.

  • Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) is required.

  • PMP Certification is an added advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of construction project planning, scheduling, budgeting, project controls, and contract administration.

  • Experience using project scheduling and reporting software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mindset.
