Polo is expanding its retail operations and this is a rare opportunity to lead one of Africa’s most prestigious luxury retail divisions. The successful candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing a dynamic sales team while driving high revenue growth, client acquisition, and boutique management. The role requires a commercial leader who actively builds relationships with high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), corporate and government institutions, while leading the team to consistently exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve sales targets through sales to HNIs, UHNWIs, Corporates and Governments of high-end watches and jewelry.
Own and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
Drive category growth across watches and fine jewellery
Lead execution of high-value transactions and client conversions.
Build and manage a pipeline of corporate, diplomatic and government clients
Drive volume and high-value gifting transactions
Maintain strong external presence on the filed meeting clients outside the boutique.
Drive a high-performance sales culture
Set clear KPIs per sales executive (daily, weekly, monthly) and manage their daily and weekly reports.
Conduct weekly sales reviews and coaching sessions on product knowledge, clientelling and closing high ticket sales.
Lead weekly product knowledge sessions for the team.
Revive all major dormant accounts into active buying customers.
Sell all product categories of brands carried by the company in volume for entry level, mid-range and high-end watches.
Maintain a strong presence on the field meeting clients outside the boutique.
Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing sales boutique team members.
Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (candidates with international degrees are encouraged to apply)
Strong network within HNI/Corporate/Government circles.
Preferably 10 - 15 years’ work experience in sales with over 10 years managing a team.
Experience in B2G, B2B and B2C.
Masters’ degree in any discipline will be an added advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
